Richard Florida is the founder of the Creative Class Group, a global advisory services firm, and his discovery of the “creative class” has been lauded by the Harvard Business Review as one of the major breakthrough ideas of our time. Richard has penned two national bestsellers, Who’s Your City?, The Rise of the Creative Class, and The Flight of the Creative Class, which launched an intellectual revolution that has changed the way companies, nations, and communities compete and thrive. A leading public intellectual on economic competitiveness, demographic trends, and cultural and technological innovation, Richard is one of the world’s most dynamic, engaging, and sought-after speakers. He was named one of Esquire magazine’s Best and Brightest. Richard is currently Director of the Martin Prosperity Institute and Professor of Business and Creativity at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
